How can we provide for the world’s population without exhausting the natural resources required by next generations? Food production relies increasingly on technical means of production and is already straining our natural resources to their limit. Nevertheless, food production is being intensified and the globalization of markets is actually speeding up this process. Therefore, one of the key future challenges is the intensification of food production through environmentally friendly and sustainable production systems. To do so, the University of Hohenheim has developed its M.Sc. program “Environmental Protection and Agricultural Food Production”. It is designed to provide qualified people of all nationalities with internationally competitive, state-of-the-art training.
